In addition to English classes, the ELC also provides activities that allow students to immerse themselves in American culture — from conversation partners and family life to picnics and road trips. For more information on the programs below, contact the ELC office at 702-895-3925.
Conversation Partner Program (CPP)
ELC students have the opportunity to meet American conversation partners
on a weekly basis by joining the program. Students meet their partners
outside of class for informal discussion and friendship. For more information
or to sign up, contact the ELC office.
English Language Center Club (ELCC)
The club, part of the ELC, gives students the chance to meet their teachers and other students in many social and recreational activities. The club sponsors picnics, dances, concerts, hikes, sporting events, museum excursions, and trips to points of interest such as Red Rock and Mount Charleston.
English Tutors
Native speakers work with international students, helping with writing and other English language skills.
